After every varsity football game, players, coaches, cheerleaders, the band, and parents meet at the National Wayside Shrine on Granger Road to pray together. A tradition that started 35 years ago in 1979 is still going strong. One of the coaches from the 1979 coaching staff, Kerry Hodakievic, suggested going to the Shine after every game and the other coaches embraced it. Win or lose, the team always goes to Shrine to thank God for the opportunities they get to show their gifts and talents to the world. At the Shrine, many prayers are recited and it is finished with Trinity’s Alma Mater. It is a tradition that has gone strong for many years and will continue to be strong for years to come. Win or lose the Trinity spirit will always be shown at a tradition that is unlike any other.
