Boys Junior Varsity Football, Boys Varsity Football · Trojans Defeat Defending State Champs Warren JFK, 31-20

The Varsity Football Team defeated the defending Division VII State Champions, Warren JFK by a score of 31-20 last Friday night.  After trailing 14-0 in the first quarter, the Trojans got rolling on offense and got some key turnovers and stops on defense. Leading the way for the Trojans were Junior Running Back Bryon Thompson who had 21 carries for 116 yards and 3 Touchdowns.  Senior Quarterback Kevin McSweeney was 9 of 17 for 183 yards and 1 Touchdown.  He also had 6 rushes for 35 yards and a touchdown. Senior Wide Out Eric Filakosky had 4 catches for 80 yards and 1 Touchdown. His 56-yard TD reception from McSweeney put the Trojans up for good 25-20 in the fourth quarter.

The Trojans (3-3, 1-0) travel to Euclid High School this Saturday to take on VASJ. Kickoff is at 7:00 pm.
