The Trojans Girls and Boys Track Teams had a tremendous showing at the District Meet on Friday at Cuyahoga Hts by finishing 5th and 7th, respectively, out of 22 schools. The girls qualified 6 girls in 5 events and the boys qualified 5 boys in 3 events to the regional meet this Wednesday and Friday at Massillon Perry High School.
The girls who qualified were freshmen Anna Ibos in the long jump, senior Rozella Schultz in the pole vault, junior Sydney Wrabel in the 300 hurdles, freshman Christina Ibos in the 3200 meter run and the 4×200 relay team of freshman Tiah Charlton, Sydney Wrabel, sophomore Kaitlyn Rezabek and Anna Ibos.
The boys that qualified were freshmen Gabe Nevmerzycki in the pole vault, the 4×200 relay team of freshman Zion Owens, seniors Eric Filakosky, Micky Samuel and Andrew Kenaga and the 4×100 relay team of Gabe Nevmerzycki, Eric Filakosky, Micky Samuel and Dewey Kenaga.
Other place finishers who did not qualify were Sydney Wrabel in the high hurdles, Tiah Charlton in the 100 meter dash, Carli Sparks in the 1600 meter run, the girls 4×100 team of Armani Hall, Jhonet Wheeler, Leah Iacobucci and Tiah Charlton, Jackie Giulivo in the 800 meter run, the girls 4×400 relay team of Sydney Wrabel, Kaitlyn Rezabek, Noelle Sadar and Anna Ibos, Micky Samuel in the high jump, Dewey Kenaga and Eric Filakosky in the 100 meter dash, Zion Owens in the 400 meter dash and Andrew Gudz in the 3200 meter run.
