Boys Varsity Football · Trojans Win Thriller 24-20

The Trojan Varsity Football team evened its record to 2-2 with a 24-20 victory over host Mathews (Vienna) on Friday night. Freshman QB Ian Anderson‘s pass intended for freshman SB Lavelle Rean was tipped into the hands of junior WR Dominic Blackstock with 2:08 left in the game for the comeback win. Freshman Jehmarion Moore lead the offense with 9 receptions for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns. Anderson threw for 223 yards on 16 of 28 and 3 TD’s. Moore lead the defense with 11 tackles, while Blackstock and senior Ryan Foss had an interception. The Trojans lead all game until Mathews scored with a little over 5 minutes left in the game to take a 20-18 lead before the comeback drive.

The Trojans host Western Reserve Academy this Saturday for the Homecoming game. Kick off is at 7:00 pm at Bedford Bearcat Stadium.
