Boys Soccer · Boys Soccer Team Loses in Sectionals


The Trinity Boys Soccer team fell to Oberlin in the first round of the 2018 OHSAA Sectional Tournament 9-1. The Trojans lone goal came from Senior Noah Salem. This was also the first game back for Junior Mitchell Knotek since his collar bone injury early in the season. The Trojans were on the offensive for much of the game, but were unable to capitalize on many opportunities. Senior Sammy Burke finished the evening with 18 saves, bringing his season save total to an impressive 183 (an average of ~12 saves per game). Freshman Ryan Trent, Sophomore Yasir Ismail, and Senior Captain Ryan Samko had several significant defensive plays in the match.

The Trojans finished the regular season with a record of 2-12 under first year Head Coach Mack Flinn.
