Boys Varsity Baseball · Anderson Throws a Perfect Game

Freshman Ian Anderson threw a 5 inning perfect game last night as the Trojans defeated Cleveland Central Catholic 18-0 at Danko Field. He had 11 strikeouts and went 4-4 with 4 RBI at the plate. Sophomore Michael Clancy (1-3, 3 RBI) and freshman Matthew Trimble (1-2, 3 RBI), along with senior Ryan Foss (3-3, 2 RBI) lead the 13-hit attack. Seniors Matt Studnicha (1 run, 1 RBI), Noah Salem (1 hit, 3 runs scored), and Michael Sanna (1-2, 3 runs scored) ended their careers at Trinity on a positive note. “The team really improved and fought hard all season”, said Head Coach Randy Rundgren. “I am proud of their effort and look forward to the guys coming back next year.”

The Trojans end the season with a 7-11 overall record, 5-4 in the NCL.
