The Trojans football team defeated host Brooklyn last night 42-6 to stay unbeaten in the Chagrin Valley Conference Metro Division. Sophomore Jehmarion Moore took the opening kickoff 77 yards for a touchdown and the Trojans never looked back. Moore had 112 yards on 10 carries and 3 TD’s, including a 10-yard fumble recovery for a score. Junior Zion Owens had 80 yards on 10 carries and a TD as the Trojans had 218 yards on the ground. Sophomore Ian Anderson was 6 for 14 for 76 yards through the air and had 27 yards on 4 attempts with 2 rushing TD’s. Junior Jack Maloney had 2 receptions for 25 yards and an interception while class mate Sean Arth had 5 tackles on the defensive side.
The Trojans (4-2, 3-0) host perennial state playoff contender Cuyahoga Heights Friday night at Bedford Bearcat Stadium. Kickoff is at 7:00 pm.
