Trojans News · Dusek & Knotek Earn Chagrin Valley Conference Sportsmanship Awards

Trinity seniors Lexi Dusek and Mitchell Knotek shined on and off the playing field and they’ll close their careers with a Chagrin Valley Conference Senior Sportsmanship Award. “These two are very deserving of this honor”, said Athletic Director Tony SanFilippo, “they truly represent the Trinity Way in everything they do.”

Dusek, who plans to attend the University of Toledo, played both basketball and softball for the Trojans. She earned three letters in both sports, was the basketball team’s Most Improved Player in 2017 and was named first and second-team all-conference in softball. In the classroom, Dusek carries a 3.98 grade point average with First Honors while enrolled in AP classes. A member of the National Honor Society, Dusek also earned All-CVC Academic honors during the 2019-2020 season.

Knotek, who will attend Valparaiso and kick for the football team, played soccer, football and basketball for the Trojans. He earned four letters in soccer and two in football. Knotek was named the soccer team’s MVP in 2018 and he added a team award in 2019. He also earned first-team All-CVC honors last fall. With a 3.78 GPA while enrolled in AP and honor classes, Knotek was a CVC All-Academic Team honoree in 2019 and he has earned first and second honors on the merit roll.
