Boys Varsity Baseball · Trojans Sweep Brooklyn

The Trojans Varsity Baseball team snapped a four game losing streak with a sweep of Brooklyn this week in CVC action. On Monday, the host Trojans won 10-0 in 5 innings behind the strong outing by junior Matthew Trimble (5IP, 1H, 3BB, 7K). Junior Ian Anderson (1-3, 2R, 3RBI) hit an opposite field HR to break open a close game, while teammates, Trimble (3-3, 2R, 3RBI), seniors Michael Clancy (1-2, R, RBI, 2BB) & Merrell Sheehan (2-3, RBI) and sophomore LeJon Woods (2-2, 2R, RBI, BB) all contributed offensively in the win.  The Trojans won the next night, 12-0 in 5 innings behind another strong outing by Anderson (5IP, 1H, 10K) and the offense of  junior Kenny Krawczyk (3-4, 3RBI), Trimble (2-4,R, 2RBI), Clancy (2-3), and Sheehan (1-2, 2 HBP). The Trojans are tied for third place in the CVC Metro Division with Lutheran West, who face each other next week.

The Trojans (5-6, 5-3 in CVC) host Padua this Saturday for a DH starting at 11:00 am at Danko Field.
