The Trojan Volleyball Team ran its winning streak to five matches to start the season with a hard fought 3-0 victory over host St. Thomas Aquinas on Thursday night. The Trojan varsity football team started the 2014 season with a convincing 48-12 win over visiting Ledgemont on Friday night. Leading the way were seniors Brett Dawson (109 yards on eight carries) and Kevin Wodzisz (3 TD’s) along with juniors Michael Costanzo (2 TD’s) and Kyle McSweeney, who threw for 116 yards and 2 TD’s.
The 2014 Trinity Trojan Golf Team returns 3 lettermen in juniors Joey LeSueur, Ethan Filippi and Jarrett Bennett. Joining them is the lone newcomer, freshman Joe Rolando. The Varsity Volleyball Team defeated Cuyahoga Heights last night in an exciting battle,3 games to 2 to improve to 2-0 on the season. The scores of the games were 15-25, 25-11, 25-17, 21-25, 15-8. The team was led offensively by junior Sydney Fecko with 20 kills, Katie Sparks with 22 kills, Dahlia Najjar with 10 kills.
The Boys and Girls Cross Country teams opened their season last Wednesday at Goodyear Park in Akron in the Hoban Invitational Meet. The varsity Trojan volleyball team swept Parma Senior last week by scores of 25-17, 25-12, and 25-16. This was a total team effort and gave coach Susan Dezzutti her first career win at Trinity.

The Trojan football team will travel to Columbia High School Friday night for a scrimmage starting at 7:00 pm. The Jamboree Game, as it is referred to, is a “dress rehersal” for the upcoming regular season. The game also raises money for the Catastrophic Insurance Fund.
