Trojans Get First Win

The Trojan Varsity baseball team got their first NCL win of the season yesterday defeating Cleveland Central Catholic 10-0 at Danko Field. Junior Josh Gaull threw a complete game two-hit shut out. The Trinity offense erupted for 10 hits on the day, lead by sophomore Nick Farrell, who was 3 for 4 with 3 RBI

Young Trojans Fall in NCL Opener

The Varsity baseball team lost  8-1 yesterday in their NCL opener to St.Thomas Aquinas.  Junior Josh Gaull pitched 4 good innings, but a tough 5th inning, in which Aquinas scored 5 runs, put the game out of reach.  Sophomore Nick Farrell singled in the only Trojan run in the 6th as he followed fellow sophomore

Lady Trojans Lose 4-3 in Opener

The Lady Trojan softball team lost a tough 4-3 NCL game to St. Thomas Aquinas yesterday. “It was an overall great team effort”, said Coach Anderson. The team was lead by junior Jayln Effertz on the mound with 7 strikeouts and timely hitting by senior Danielle Stakes and junior Kayla Anderson.  

Today’s Games Cancelled

Today’s Varsity baseball and softball games at home are cancelled. Today’s JV baseball game at St. Thomas Aquinas is also cancelled  Make-up dates will be announced soon. Friday’s baseball games against Brooklyn are also cancelled.

Trojans Drop Opener

The Trojan Varsity baseball team fell to Benedictine in the season opener 4-2 on Wednesday. It was an impressive showing for a very young Varsity squad. Sophomore Nick Farrell went 5 1/3 innings in the loss. Offensive highlights were led by Freshman Danny Strenk who went 2 for 4 on the day with 2 RBI’s

Track Season Starts

The boys track team lost to perennial track power St. Vincent- St. Mary yesterday by a score of 82-55. Although they lost by 27 points, the boys did win 8 out of the 17 events. Jermaine Francis (11) won 3 events, winning both hurdle races and the high jump. Also winning an event were Jarrett
