Trojans Beat Independence 33-7

The Trojans had a big game Friday night against Independence defeating them by a score of 33-7. Sophomore running back Andrew Kenaga rushed for 245 yards and scored 2 touchdowns. Rough Loss

The Varsity football team lost 56-14 last Saturday against state-ranked Gilmour Academy at Bedford Bearcat Stadium. After an upsetting loss to Rhodes High School last Saturday the Trojan varsity football team improved their record to 2-1 after defeating visiting John Marshall 41-14. Trojans Win Home Opener

The Trojan varsity football team started the 2014 season with a convincing 48-12 win over visiting Ledgemont on Friday night.  Leading the way were seniors Brett Dawson (109 yards on eight carries) and Kevin Wodzisz (3 TD’s) along with juniors Michael Costanzo (2 TD’s) and Kyle McSweeney, who threw for 116 yards and 2 TD’s.

Jamboree Football Scrimmage Friday Night

The Trojan football team will travel to Columbia High School Friday night for a scrimmage starting at 7:00 pm. The Jamboree Game, as it is referred to, is a “dress rehersal” for the upcoming regular season. The game also raises money for the Catastrophic Insurance Fund. Participating schools pay a fee, and the host school collects donations
